Indian Army Themes For Windows 7

the first native american treaty ever signed with the united states occurred in 1778. it was between the american explorer george washington and the iroquois leader joseph brant at fort stanwix in present-day new york state. washington and brant signed a treaty that set aside part of new york for the indian people. the following year, several tribes in the northwest territory signed similar treaties, and then the united states established the reservation system that would later become widespread.

in february 1795, president washington sent american army captain zebulon pike to explore the oregon territory. along the way, pike stopped at what is now the state of nevada, where he negotiated with the indigenous people for the right to cross the territory for the express purpose of exploring the american west. these meetings were the first recorded in what would become the united states, and at the time, pike was given the official title of the first american diplomat. he would later become famous for his expedition up the mississippi river and for his report on the discovery of the west. in 1806, senator benjamin bourne made a similar journey to the northwest. a member of the u.s. senate and the governor of maine, bourne was one of the earliest travelers in the region and one of the first to suggest that the oregon territory should become a part of the united states. in 1806, the senate passed a resolution declaring that the northwest territory included the oregon country, and in 1818, the country was formally annexed to the united states as the oregon territory.

In 1893, Mohandas Gandhi made the decision to live and work completely and solely for the people of South Africa. He started to serve people from all backgrounds and religions. He lived with the Indians and blacks, teaching them the ways of non-violent protest. He developed this system to the point that it eventually spread all over the world and many people today still follow his teachings. The idea of non-violent protest was set forth in India when Gandhi started to fight against the British colonial rule of his country. This was started by the six million people who marched on the streets of Calcutta in 1905 to protest against the treatment of Indians by the British. He was arrested and charged with high treason; however, his non-violent protest made him win the respect of many people from all walks of life, and eventually he was acquitted. Still, he was thrown in prison, along with his wife, who he had left in India.
Eventually, Gandhi was released from prison, and in South Africa, he started to use his newly acquired fame to help his people. Gandhi fought many cases involving unfair treatment of Indians, and his abilities were unmatched. During this time, Gandhi also attended the Parliament in London and became known as the father of non-violence and civil disobedience. Eventually, Gandhi and many others demanded that Indians should have equality in South Africa. The result was that the British had to give in, and they gave the country to a non-white majority. Still, Gandhi fought for justice and equality, and eventually, his way of living got him into trouble with the British and he was forced to go back to India, where he met the leaders of the Indian independence movement. Finally, in 1922, Gandhi went to stay in the first free India where he started to work. Although many people were happy about Gandhi, the British authorities were still angry with him because of the way he was living in India. They also considered him as a threat to the British colonial rule in India. In 1928, Gandhi and his followers organized the first national Indian Congress and they were successful in gaining independence of India.
